| House | What's included | Price (CAD) |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | House No. 1: Neighbourhood Calendar Spot
A featured listing in our weekly community events calendar for four weeks. Built for venues, musicians, markets and non-profits across Ottawa and the National Capital Region. Your listing gets a short write-up in our own voice rather than a copied press release, and we report weekly view counts back to you so you can see how the run is going. Most listings run 40–70 words plus a date and a contact line; longer notices are fine if the event needs it.

| 2 | House No. 2: The Echo Hour Podcast Mentions
Three host-read mentions in The Echo Hour, our weekly local news and culture podcast, delivered in the host's own relaxed on-air style rather than a read-aloud advert. Built for businesses and organizations across the region with a local story to share — a new opening in Hintonburg, a seasonal push in the ByWard Market, an anniversary in Orléans. We start with a short briefing call or written notes, draft a script, and send it to you for approval before it airs.

| 3 | House No. 3: Whole Row Partnership
A one-month presence across the whole site: a homepage placement, four newsletter credits, four podcast mentions and a partner-labelled profile article written by our editorial team. Built for established local organizations across Ottawa and the National Capital Region that want a sustained presence rather than a single mention. We plan the whole month up front — newsletter dates, podcast episodes and the article's publish date — then send a short closing summary of what ran once the month is done.

Pricing note
What the prices include
The three prices above are complete prices for what's listed — writing, scheduling and the placement itself. What can change a final quote is scope that goes beyond the description: a calendar listing that needs translation, or a newsletter run longer than the four credits in the Whole Row Partnership. In those cases we send a short written quote before any work starts, so the price you agreed to is the price on the invoice. Payment is arranged when a placement is booked, ahead of the run dates.

Who reads and listens
Who this is built for
Saltbox Echo covers the neighbourhoods, councils and small businesses of Ottawa and the National Capital Region, in print and on air. Our calendar spot suits a single event or a short seasonal run; our podcast mentions suit a business with a story worth telling in a host's own words; our Whole Row Partnership suits an organization that wants a steady presence across a full month rather than one moment. None of the three placements is built around a promised outcome — they're a fair, priced way to appear alongside reporting that a local audience already reads and listens to.

Where the row reaches
Our coverage runs from Centretown out through the ByWard Market and Hintonburg, across the river into Gatineau, and east to Orléans. A calendar listing or podcast mention is read and heard across that whole area, not just downtown — see it on the map on our contact page.

Who this fits
A row for four kinds of advertiser
Event organizers
A market, a concert or a fundraiser that needs a calendar spot for a specific date.
Small businesses
A shop or service with a story to tell in a podcast mention rather than a display ad.
Non-profits
Groups running a season of activity who want a calendar listing at no design cost.
Established organizations
Institutions wanting sustained visibility through the Whole Row Partnership.
This isn't the right fit for national campaigns or anything outside our three fixed placements — for that, a different kind of media buy will serve you better.
