3. Description of the service
Saltbox Echo publishes local news and a weekly podcast for Ottawa and the National Capital Region, and sells three advertising placements: the Neighbourhood Calendar Spot ($170 CAD), The Echo Hour Podcast Mentions ($480 CAD) and the Whole Row Partnership ($990 CAD), as described on our rate card.
4. Eligibility and user obligations
You must provide accurate information when booking a placement and have the right to use any material — logos, copy, audio notes — you supply to us for that placement.
5. Bookings, orders and payments
Prices are shown in Canadian dollars and are payable when a placement is booked, ahead of the run dates. Bookings are subject to our Payment & Refund Policy and Returns Policy below.
6. Intellectual property
The Saltbox Echo name, logo and site content belong to IPRINT MEDIA GROUP INC. and may not be reproduced without permission, other than material you have supplied to us for your own placement.
7. Acceptable use
You may not submit unlawful, misleading or restricted-category content for a placement, or attempt to interfere with the site's normal operation.
8. Disclaimer
General information. Content on this site is provided by IPRINT MEDIA GROUP INC. for general informational purposes and does not constitute professional or legal advice.
Accuracy and availability. We make reasonable efforts to keep listed prices and placement descriptions accurate, but services and prices may change; the scope of a booking is confirmed in the individual quote or booking confirmation.
Results. Outcomes from an advertising placement depend on individual circumstances; we do not guarantee any particular result from a booking.
Limitation of liability. To the extent permitted by law, IPRINT MEDIA GROUP INC.'s liability in connection with this site or a placement is capped at the amount paid for that placement.
9. Payment & Refund Policy
Scope. This policy covers payments made for the Neighbourhood Calendar Spot, The Echo Hour Podcast Mentions and the Whole Row Partnership.
Eligibility. A full refund is available if you cancel before a calendar listing goes live, before a podcast script is recorded, or before a Whole Row Partnership's first credit runs.
How to request. Send your request to [email protected] or call +1 613-627-3050, including your booking reference and the placement name.
Processing. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Non-refundable cases. Once a calendar listing has been published, a podcast episode has aired, or a Whole Row Partnership credit has run, that portion of the placement is non-refundable.
10. Returns Policy
How to cancel. Email [email protected] or call +1 613-627-3050 during our working hours, Monday – Friday, 08:30–17:00.
Returns windows. Cancelling at least 5 business days before a calendar spot's start date, or 10 business days before a podcast recording, qualifies for a full refund under the policy above; later cancellations may only be eligible for the unused portion of the placement.
Rescheduling. We're generally able to move a placement to a new date at no charge instead of cancelling it outright.
Returnss by us. If we're unable to run a placement as booked — for example due to a scheduling conflict on our side — we offer a full refund or a rebooking at your choice.
11. Third-party links
Our site and podcast may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of sites we do not operate.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised.
